Making the decision to relocate and follow your dreams after years of investment into a career you’ve enjoyed is what retirement should be about. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the neighborhood he’s called home for a good portion of his life but now’s the time and off he goes and on the market his home comes. Although it ends the chapter of his story here in St James, it’s the perfect beginning for someone like you. The beginning of enjoying not only what the lovely village of St James has to offer within its four and soon to be five gates, but also the unending coastal fun to be had on the Brunswick Island surrounding Southport. The treelined streets of Georgetown in close proximity to the main gate, guide you to Ashdon Place where you’ll swing around the cul-de-sac to one of the largest lots on the street. The trees are in their autumn beauty, the sky is clear and the air is crisp on this November day as the stone lined steps draw you in to the open and airy home. Sure, some of his design features need a little hug from 2021 but the layout and functionality of the 1800+ square foot floor plan is perfect. Soaring vaulted ceilings in the living with fireplace; large eat in kitchen with loads of storage and the dining area leading out to the sunroom overlooking the serene backyard with a large two tiered deck and pond views make for all the best entertainment indoors and out. Back inside the owner’s retreat is tucked off the back of the home with access to the sunroom. Past the massive walk in closet you’ll enter the master bath with walk in shower, long double sink vanity, and separate soaking tub for ultimate relaxation.

Supplements: The guest bedroom at the front of the home hosts a large walk in closet and nice privacy for guests with a full bathroom in the hall. The third bedroom is currently set up as an office space with French doors off the living room; however if need be can easily be converted to a true 3rd bedroom by walling off the French door area and adding a single door entry off the side hallway.
